Welcome to cultural connections

We are thrilled to fling open our doors, and share our exciting programme of arts, events and learning which marks the restoration of Christ Church Clapham in the heart of the community.

The Cultural Connections programme includes festive gatherings, creative workshops, young people’s projects, exhibitions, concerts, spoken word and craft activities.

The Gothic Revival style Christ Church was built by Benjamin Ferrey in 1862 and is a classic example of the style which formed the Arts and Crafts movement, with stunning architectural features throughout. From Windrush to modern day, Cultural Connections will explore the journeys of people, the heritage of the locality and the church as a historic place of refuge, sanctuary and learning to create a community exhibition Mapping Lives in 2019.

Cultural Connections is presented in partnership with a range of national and local partners including Open House London, The Big Draw and Stockwell Festival.

Most of the programme activities are FREE and open to all so spread the word, we hope to see you at an event!
